Training Module and Videos
As the Training Content Manager for a family entertainment center, I spearhead the creation of engaging online training modules by collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs). These modules seamlessly blend informative videos breaking down processes with reinforcing text and images, ensuring comprehension among team members.
My Role
Over the past year, I’ve developed more than 30 online trainings covering diverse topics, ranging from navigating difficult conversations as a manager to guiding employees on checking in bowling reservations These resources are invaluable to over 800 employees, equipping them with the knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
The Process
My process begins by closely working with SMEs to grasp existing processes, followed by refining them in collaboration with managers. I meticulously document these processes, transforming them into video scripts with shot descriptions and voiceovers. Leading film shoots and collaborating with our video editor, I bring these scripts to life. Subsequently, I leverage these videos to construct interactive modules featuring elements like flashcards, sorting activities, and quizzes. A notable challenge in this role involves crafting training for processes that may vary across locations. To address this, I collaborate with managers and stakeholders, conducting tests and refining processes for consistency. Notable examples include closing procedures such as safe balancing, bar maintenance, and interviewing procedures.
